Denim Layering, Vancouver Street Style
Most of us kissed our jean jackets goodbye in September, only to have them resurface in another six months. This cool layering trick proves that there's no need to wave farewell to your jean jacket. Up the ante on your winter look with basics that add dimension (and warmth). -
It’s the time of the season / Festival Fashion
It's the time of the season - my favorite time, in fact. With so many summer music festivals upon us, we've decided to do a little preliminary round up with three days of outfit inspiration for your long days of indie clapping. Day one: 3.1 Phillip Lim tank with Current/Elliott denim cutoffs and Supergas sneakers. Day two: Isabal Marant romper and Maje fringe, cropped leather jacket for transitioning into evening. Day three: Strapless maxi dress by Zimmermann with denim, studded vest over the dress and Acne boots. For jewelry, try out some Dannijo. -
Bloggers Izzy & Virginie / Exploring the Mile End with Annex Vintage
Montreal's heat wave brought some awesome fashion to the streets this month. Bloggers Izzy (Yeye Style blog) and Virginie (Virginie's Cinema) of Quebec City are certainly no exception. It comes as no surprise that they are both wearing a lot of vintage. -
Pastel Penchant
There's no doubt that this trend of pastels will be held in as high regard as neon was last summer, which means by this time next year, we will be right on to a new colour trend. In the mean time, we can't possibly ignore our craving for sweet confections. Leather jacket: Acne, Chambray Shirt: Madewell, Mint Silk Pants: Wilfred, Scalloped Edge Satchel: Asos, Heels: Louis Vuitton, Mint Spike Flats: Asos, Cuffs: Dannijo, Nail polish: Essie. -
Necessary Necessities for Transitioning into >> Spring
Wondering what to wear on those in-between days that don't feel like Winter but don't quite feel like Spring yet either? It's a great time to break free from heavy layers and go for some lighter ones instead. Try a classic denim leather combo with jean jacket and booties, both by Acne. Opt for a shorter sleeve or quarter length if the weather allows you to (this one by Wilfred), a lighter coloured denim that feels oh-so Spring (Current/Elliott), a pop of colour in your accessories (the much-needed Balenciaga bag) and sleek cuffs that don't read contrived (this one by Asos). -
Spring Fever / What I’m Craving
Spring is upon us and I'm getting excited to break free from the winter layers. Here are a few pops of colour and print to inspire you for the upcoming season. The Drapey Trench: Put a spin on the classic trench with a fluid fabric and unstructured style. Mary Katrantzou for TopShop: Already obsessed with her hyper realist aesthetic and bold graphics, I nearly died when I found out she's doing a diffusion line for TopShop Canada. The Cambridge Satchel: these double-buckled satchels are extra tempting, especially in bright neon shades. Pastel Jeans: Perfect for easy spring days. Dannijo's Medine bib: to add some interest to that plain t-shirt. -
Fox Tail / Exploring the Mile End with Annex Vintage
Style is in the details. That's why we love Katherine's recycled fox tail peaking out from her bag. It's by Montreal's Rachel F Design (www.rachelf.ca). Another stylish detail is her amazing hat, which was her Dad's first communion hat from over 40 years ago. -

The new way to wear perfume, Mary Katrantzou dress
Most of us have been lusting after the perfume bottle Mary Katrantzou dress for many seasons but seeing it on the streets makes it much more so. What she has succeeded in her most recent seasons is wearable pieces that just about any girl can put on including knit dresses, leggings and cardigans. -
Cambridge Satchel, Street Style
We love the Cambridge Satchel for its utility and function but even more so because it looks fab slung over your shoulder and paired with just about any outfit. And at $170, it's your next purchase waiting to happen. It's definitely the coolest bag most fashionable ladies can reasonably afford to buy. -
Browns & Beiges, New York Street Style
New York fashion blogger, Rachel Schwartzmann has a style all her own and we love it. Here she is wearing an H&M Faux fur hat, Mystique High-Low beige skirt, Rebecca Minkoff bag, Jeffrey Campbell Lana Wedge and Assorted Jewelry. Get into the Layering Game!
Fall weather keeps us on our toes - from balmy days to cold, you always need to be prepared for whatever mother nature might bring your way. It's also why Fall is one of our most loved seasons. It means we get to wear layered looks that look cute no matter how many you put on or take off.
