Converse sneakers

In just over a month I leave for a month-long trip to NYC and I anticipate a lot of exploring and street scouting. My feet are in pretty bad condition and because I carry around heavy camera equipment, I wanted to find sneakers that would be both comfortable and stylish. Just in time, Converse launched their Pro Leather LP kicks in Canada on April 3rd at Little Burgundy Shoes…and they totally fit the bill.

Converse are a girls (and guys) best friend. As my friend put it so eloquently, “Converse are the sneakers of the people”. Anyone can wear them…so just as much as every fashion girl loves her Converse kicks, your grandma or little sister would rock them even harder than you. Talk about bridging the age gap!

The Converse Pro Leather LP is a little different than your classic Chuck Taylors though. It’s a streamlined low-top take on a legendary basketball silhouette. The Nike Lunarlon insole adds cushioning and comfort, which means you don’t need to break them in. They are super comfortable right from the get-go.

Converse are super versatile too. Wear them with jeans and a tee to complete your everyday look or rock them with skirt or dress to take things from dressy down to casual/cool. I decided to wear the LP kicks with my favourite T by Alexander Wang dress for a casual tomboy-chic look. Mine are all white with gold detailing but they also come with navy or red detailing…I don’t think you can go wrong with any of them!
