The Tommy Hilfiger show gave everyone more than enough motivation to run off to a tropical island with its beach-bar shack and lagoon…but since that’s not an easy feat, the next best thing was to dress the part. And many did just that. Bloggers, influencers, and the industry’s best came to celebrate a new season of Tommy and the street scene was impeccable.
From bloggers, Song of Style, The Blonde Salad, Bryan Boy and Peace Love Shea to fashion week icons, Anna Dello Russo and Rachel Zoe, the style just got better and better. In fact, the street style was youthful and playful, and gave us a huge dose of fun, reminding us why we love fashion week so much. In fact, out of all the shows we attended, we were most impressed with how many guests came decked head to toe in Tommy and how electric the energy was outside of the show. Everyone really embraced that All-American Tommy feel, plus some island vibes for good measure.
We then headed to the Phillip Lim show, where we observed edgier rocker looks that felt clean and crisp for the occasion. We could feel the excitement outside the show as guests rushed in to celebrate a decade of the designer. The infamous Iris Apfel was spotted in head to toe black, possibly a first for this very eccentric woman. One might attribute it to the very recent and unfortunate passing of her husband.
Sadly, when we were editing late into the night, we accidentally lost quite a few photos. It was our favourite day to photograph and truly heartbreaking. Luckily we were able to recover about 40% of the photos while the rest were only preserved through thumbnails. For the photos we WERE able to recover, we weren’t able to edit them quite like we normally do (so, if they don’t have that StreetScoutMe aesthetic, you’ll know why!). Long story short, when you take thousands of photos per day, losing them from time to time happens…but we really made the best of it. Scroll down to see all the looks.
