When Randa, MichelleSharday and I planned a girls day trip to Joffre Lake, who knew that we’d get hit with tons of snow the following week! It was definitely worth it though because we got such scenic views and some much-needed girl time.

Actually, dressing for this weather made me realize how ill-prepared I am for the coldest version we’ve had of Winter in a lonnng time. As Sharday reminds me, buy a parka!! Duh – I still haven’t done that…so if you have any suggestions, I’d love to hear them. The key for me has always been to protect my extremities and layer up to block the wind (like a leather jacket underneath a warmer and larger coat – this trick allowed me to survive Snowmageddon in NYC last Winter when we wondered the empty, snowy streets for hours on end).

Take a look at how each of us rocked our cold-weather layers to stay warm while also keeping our style intact.
